I am a Pilot... With this profession you are molded into being a problem solver. So invariably when chaos breaks out I am driven into the mode of "Ok we have a problem here. What are the causes and what are the potential fixes? I can fix this I just have to think logically." I do this in a very calm manner. However, it is done with such a sense of urgency that you would think that my airplane is on fire.
Unfortunately people are much different than machines or business processes. They have their own motivations, desires, and the ability to react to your newly implemented and profound fixes. I for one struggle with dealing with unanticipated outcomes. I am not always able to grasp the realization that my desires may not align with those of another.
I think that you try your hardest. You must however, accept some things as not fixable. We must pick a point where we realize that anymore effort exerted is just wasted and conserve that energy for something that will yield positive results. Results worthy of our efforts......

First Blog
"The true test of man is the sum of their actions..... The pursuit of SELF only leads to destruction. The determined pursuit of good will and righteousness leads to immeasurable satisfaction."
This morning I was headed to the airport with my freshly made Starbucks in hand. As I settled into my morning drive routine I was slapped in the face with this comment on the radio. "We are how we act and we act who we are... Take care of your thoughts as they might become reality".
This caused me to reflected on the decisions that I have made within the last several months. What I stated at the beginning of this post is what I have deduced after a day of reflection on this. We should all place more emphasis on the pursuit of an ulimate objective than that of a search for instant satisfaction.
